For many, the Dave Matthews Band is summer. So, after a 20-year kinship with the band on the road, what exactly would a DMB-less summer look like for devoted fans? Lucky for "Dave heads," they'll no longer have to ponder that prospect.

In 2010 the band announced they would be taking a hiatus from touring in 2011, but in the months that followed, an announcement was made that the multifaceted group — which includes Dave Matthews, Carter Beauford, Stefan Lessard and Boyd Tinsley, as well as Rashawn Ross, Tim Reynolds and Jeff Coffin (who stepped in after the death of founding member LeRoi Moore) — would be headlining a four-stop, multi-act Caravan festival from June to September.

On February 22, members of DMB's fan club, the Warehouse, received a cryptic "save the date" e-mail informing them that from June 24 to June
26 Dave and co. would be in the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic region and from July 8 to July 10 they'd be in the Midwest. The e-mail also alerted fans that the band would bring the tour out in August and September, but no locations or dates have been listed.

Now fans can start making some concrete plans, as details for the first part of the festival have officially been announced. From June 24 to June 26, the Dave Matthews Band will headline three shows at Bader Field in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

In addition to closing sets from the band each evening, as well as an acoustic set featuring Matthews and Reynolds, concertgoers will see scheduled performers David Gray, Ray LaMontagne, the Flaming Lips, O.A.R., Damian Marley, Bassnectar, Dr. Dog, Amos Lee, Thievery Corporation, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Warren Haynes Band, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Guster, Lotus, Rebelution, Fitz and the Tantrums, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Lisa Hannigan, Punch Brothers, From Good Homes, Delta Spirit, Big Gigantic, Alberta Cross, Mariachi El Bronx, TR3, Vusi Mahlasela, the Budos Band and Bobby Long.

Tickets, which will only be available as three-day passes, go on sale to the general public Friday, March 25, at 10 a.m. However, members of the Warehouse will get the option of making ticket requests from Monday, March 14, to Monday, March 21, and Citi Card members will have access to pre-sale tickets on Monday, March 21.

Will you be attending the Dave Matthews Band's Caravan festival this summer? Tell us in the comments!

Sami Samir Hassoun allegedly dropped what he thought was a bomb into a garbage can outside of Wrigley Field. He reportedly intended to inflict injuries and create chaos just as a Dave Matthews Band show at the home of the Chicago Cubs was letting out and the streets of Wrigleyville were filled with revelers. But Chicago police and FBI agents, who had been watching Hassoun for months, swarmed in and arrested the 22-year-old man.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the "bomb" was actually a dud; the device, which consisted of a gallon paint can loaded with fake explosives, ball bearings and a timing device, was provided to Hassoun by undercover agents as part of a months-long investigation into his alleged terrorist intentions.

Police said that Hassoun dialed down the device's timer so it would go off sooner, then planted it in a garbage can outside a sports bar near the venue. Moments later, he was apprehended.

The arrest came after months of surveillance during which authorities claim to have learned of Hassoun's plot to undermine outgoing Chicago mayor Richard Daley's administration through repeated, deadly attacks.
Hassoun also had aims to poison the city's water supply, assassinate Daley, attack nightlife districts and ignite car bombs all over Chicago, authorities said.

The home-grown terrorist was reportedly not motivated by religious or political views, but by a drive to undermine Daley's political support and pave the way for one of his pals to take control of the city.

The FBI was on to Hassoun from the beginning, and it planted an informant and undercover agents around the troubled man to monitor his moves. Though he never caught on, Hassoun's plans were an open book to investigators. The FBI provided him with a camcorder to scout potential terror locations, paid him nearly $3,000 so he could quit his job and work on his terror plots full time and assembled the fake bomb he used on Saturday night.

Hassoun was in court on Monday, and he was charged with attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction and attempting to detonate an explosive device.

The owner of the bar, Sluggers, said casualties from a bomb could have been massive, with more than 40,000 DMB fans and revelers roaming the area around midnight. The FBI and Chicago police said residents were never in any danger during the months Hassoun plotted his bombings.

A spokesperson for DMB could not be reached for comment at press time.

Over the course of some 18 years together, the Dave Matthews Band have reached some rather incredible heights. They've sold more than 30 million albums, toured the world more times than anyone can remember and, in 2003, played a free show in New York's Central Park that drew more than 120,000 fans. It's been a fairly successful ride, to say the least.

But for all the highs, DMB have never been lower than they were in 2008, when they began work on their seventh studio album, Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King. Dogged by infighting and exhausted after nearly two decades spent on the road, the band nearly imploded. (In an interview last year with CBS News, Matthews even admitted that he sent a letter to his bandmates saying the group was finished.) The songs weren't going anywhere. Nobody's heart seemed particularly in it this time around. And then, in August, saxophonist LeRoi Moore died, following injuries he sustained in an ATV accident.

Needless to say, it was a pretty bleak period.

So perhaps the biggest achievement of GrooGrux — which is nominated for a pair of Grammy awards, including Album of the Year — wasn't that it paid tribute to Moore, both in title and sound (the album opens and closes with solos he laid down while sessions were still in their infancy) or that it debuted at #1, giving DMB their fifth-consecutive chart-topping bow. No, it was that the album got made at all.

Album Of The Year Nominees

» Beyonc&#233
» Black Eyed Peas
» Dave Matthews Band

Because, more than anything, GrooGrux is a testament to DMB's willpower, their unyielding drive and determination and their commitment to one another. Moore's death galvanized the group, made them realize that even the most serious of spats were merely trivial in the grand scheme of things, and they pressed on accordingly. There is an underlying (and understandable) weariness that runs through much of the record — even jovial numbers like "Why I Am" and "Funny the Way It Is" are thinly veiled ruminations on fate, life, love and (most of all) death — but the important thing is that they finished it. Lesser bands would have folded in situations half this bad. That was not an option here. The Dave Matthews Band owed it to themselves, their fans and, most of all, Moore to continue onward. And that's exactly what they did.

Still, they had some help along the way. Moore might have passed on, but he was still somewhere high above, guiding them through the album — as Matthews explained to MTV News back in April.

"There was one song called 'Lying in the Hands of God' that I wrote the words over the piece, [over] the constructed song that we made," he said. "I wrote the words and the chorus and all the stuff, and then played it back and it was a duet! It was already there, 'Roi playing along. And it was bizarre, because we hadn't really turned the sax up, then we did, and there it was. He was playing along the whole time."

Check out more about other Album of the Year nominees, including Beyoncé's I Am ...
SAN FRANCISCO — San Franciscans surprised by the honest-to-goodness summer weather that showed up this weekend finally had a chance to zip up their hoodies on the second night of the Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival. But headliner Dave Matthews gave the crowd plenty of reasons to wiggle the chills away during his two-and-a-half-hour set.

Matthews and his eponymous band played with the precision that comes from knowing how their bandmates work, which produced some impressive jams and awe-inspiring solos. Matthews provided a dose of early-millennial nostalgia with a set that focused heavily on favorites like "Jimi Thing" and "Ants Marching." Along the way, Fergie and Apl.de.Ap from the Black Eyed Peas showed up to inspire Matthews to take his goofy dancing to another level. Then, pedal-steel specialist Robert Randolph slipped in during the encore to end the set with two covers Matthews always keeps in his back pocket: Bob Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower" and Sly and the Family Stone's "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)," the latter of which featured singing and beat-boxing by Randolph.

But back at the top of the afternoon, on the Twin Peaks stage at the opposite end of the festival grounds, Street Sweeper Social Club brought an entirely different brand of grooviness and some of the weekend's few true aggro moments. Conceived by Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello and fronted by the Coup's Boots Riley (who continuously reminded the crowd that Street Sweeper Social Club is "more than a band, we're a social club"), the group played songs from its self-titled debut plus well-received covers of M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes" and LL Cool J's "Mama Said Knock You Out," both of which kept the pit churning.

On the way back to the main stage, the Barbary — which took place inside a tent filled with oak-framed mirrors and stained glass — offered some mid-afternoon comedy from past and present locals Sherry Sirof, Brent Weinbach and Kevin Camia, all of whom managed to offend all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time with tales of anatomy, sexual preference and 99-cent stores.

Raphael Saadiq didn't drop any comedy into his funky set, though he did go into a long monologue about growing up in nearby Oakland and listening to Al Green for inspiration. Saadiq and his band wore matching black suits as though they were going to hit the blackjack tables immediately following the show, and he treated the afternoon like a hot '60s R&B revue. Working the stage like a deranged bandleader, Saadiq called upon the early afternoon crowd to sway and bounce along with his old-school soul jams.

It wasn't all about the love, though, as he detoured into a cover of the Stooges "Search and Destroy," lending Iggy Pop's snarl a bit of gospel heft. He closed out the show by bringing on his first-ever choir director, who inspired him to sing as a child. With a scratchy, bluesy delivery, he backed up what Tom Jones had established on Friday night: Sometimes a little experience goes a long way.

As the middle player on Saturday's main stage, Jason Mraz was reminiscent of Jimmy Buffett as he took his hour-long set right down the middle, playing laid-back pop, reggae, disco-funk and everything else that makes sense on a warm afternoon in the park. It certainly didn't have much in common with the otherworldly weirdness going on at the nearby Sutro Stage, where the re-formed Os Mutantes played to a noticeably sparse audience. Apparently the Brazilian psych-rock pioneers — who got back together a few years ago after splitting in the late '70s — didn't get the memo about what the Hacky Sack crowd would be interested in hearing. But like many of the weekend's stalwarts, Os Mutantes stuck to their guns and played their hearts out, which paid off in the end, when leader Sérgio Dias blurted out, "That was amazing!" at his own band's performance.

Sporting a beard that complements the music he's making these days, Conor Oberst and his Mystic Valley Band closed down the Sutro Stage with songs that are more down-home than downtrodden. One highlight of the set was when he brought out Jenny Lewis to perform Rilo Kiley's "Portions for Foxes," though Oberst outdid himself in the end with a beautiful rendition of the sparse and gorgeous "Milk Thistle."

Back on the main stage, the Black Eyed Peas provided the day's first real communal moment with their truckload of radio hits, and calling San Francisco their "home away from home" earned the band even more points with the local crowd (though Fergie should know better than to call it "Frisco"). The world didn't become a better place during the hour-long show, though it came closer than usual. There's something about "I Gotta Feeling" that makes the promise that "Tonight's gonna be a good night" easy to believe, and the band wisely closed their set with it. That gave way for Matthews, giving the 50,000 strong in Golden Gate Park a jubilant one-two punch that sent them home euphoric.

While the press has been monitoring politicians as they endorse each other for president in advance of Super Tuesday, MTV News has rounded up a series of last-minute election choices geared especially for the pop culture-oriented.

On "The O'Reilly Factor" Monday night, Bill O'Reilly showed footage of 50 Cent giving his endorsement to Hillary Clinton. "I just think she could do a good job," said the rapper, who added that he has nothing against Barack Obama but thinks America isn't ready for an African-American president. "I think they might kill him," he said.

Late last year, 50 spoke in favor of the former first lady to Rap Up magazine, among other outlets. "I'd like to see Hillary Clinton be president," he said. "It would be nice to see a woman be the actual president and ... this is a way for us to have Bill Clinton be president again, and he did a great job during his term."

Perez Hilton, who always has the inside scoop when Hillary Clinton creates one of her youth-oriented videos, officially endorsed the New York senator for president on Tuesday (February 5), even though he sometimes spells her name incorrectly ("Hilary" instead of the proper Hillary).

On their Web site, clothing company American Apparel asks its consumers to consider Obama (for Democrats) and John McCain (Republicans) when voting on Super Tuesday. The site shows old photos of its chosen candidates, including a leather-jacket-clad Obama and a young, strapping McCain, who has a pack of cigarettes sitting next to him. The company says it chose Obama and McCain because of their "honesty on the issue of immigration, the most significant civil-rights concern of the past 50 years."

And in a letter posted on his Web site Monday, Dave Matthews complained about the divisiveness in America, stating, "It is time for a change, and that is why I support Barack Obama for president." Robert De Niro also has announced his support for the candidate.

50 aside, Clinton has mostly gotten support from a mature cross section of musicians, including Carly Simon, Tony Bennett, Melissa Etheridge, Jon Bon Jovi, Carole King, Madonna, Quincy Jones, Barbra Streisand and country legend Merle Haggard, though Mya and Timbaland help bring the average age down a bit.

Obama, meanwhile, has bagged equally esteemed vets such as Stevie Wonder, Babyface and Harry Connick Jr., while the rest of his musical roster looks like a lineup for a killer rock-meets-R&B festival: Usher, Ne-Yo, Pete Wentz, Win Butler (the Arcade Fire), Jeff Tweedy (Wilco), Katharine McPhee, the Goo Goo Dolls, Macy Gray, Will Smith, Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes), Joanna Newsom, the Cool Kids, OK Go and Shudder to Think.

And it's not just Democrats who are getting support from the music world. Former Arkansas Governor and Republican candidate Mike Huckabee has gotten the nod from classic rocker Ted Nugent, while rival Ron Paul has picked up the endorsement of former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic and folk singer Arlo Guthrie. Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney has, not surprisingly, gotten support from a pair of fellow Mormons, Donny and Marie Osmond, not to mention the king of squeaky clean, Mr. Pat Boone.

Earlier this week, Will.I.Am posted a pro-Obama music video featuring Common, Nick Cannon and Scarlett Johansson. Members of Pearl Jam and the Grateful Dead have also come out in support of the Illinois senator.

Since its initial release 10 short weeks ago, Josh Groban's Noël has unexpectedly gone from being just another in a long list of forgettable Christmas-centric LPs to the best-selling album of 2007. With nearly 2.8 million copies sold — most coming within the last four weeks — Noël has usurped the "High School Musical 2" soundtrack (which has sold just over 2.7 million units) and Daughtry, the 2006 self-titled debut by "American Idol" finalist Chris Daughtry's band, (2.3 million) for that title.

What's more, Noël, which has increased in sales each week and has remained in the Billboard top 10 all those weeks, has shattered several sales records, thanks in large part to Oprah Winfrey's recent endorsement of the album as "the one Christmas CD every family should have."

According to the latest SoundScan totals, Noël, which sold another 669,000 copies, is the first Christmas album to spend four consecutive weeks on top in the chart's 51-year history. It's also only the second Christmas album to ever spend a total of four weeks at #1, tying it with Elvis Presley's 1957 LP Elvis' Christmas Album.

Noël is also the first album of any kind to spend four consecutive weeks at #1 and experience a sales increase each of those weeks since No Doubt's 1995 outing Tragic Kingdom, and the 669,000 copies the Groban album sold last week denotes the biggest single-week tally for a Christmas album since Kenny G's Miracles: The Holiday Album sold 819,000 copies during one of the last weeks of 1994. Plus, Noël is on pace to pass the 3 million-sold mark, which would make it the only album released in 2007 to reach that plateau.

Needless to say, everything's coming up Groban on Billboard's weekly albums chart. But Noël's sales aren't the only interesting development on next week's chart. For starters, a total of 10 new records enter next week's top 200, though none debut in the chart's top 10. The highest-charting debut of the week comes in at #11: Face Off, a collaborative album from rapper Bow Wow and R&B singer Omarion, sold 107,000 copies during its first week in stores, falling about 13,000 scans short of #10 finisher Garth Brooks' Ultimate Hits, which sold 119,400 copies.

Behind Groban at #2 is Alicia Keys' As I Am, with sales reported at 292,300, and the Eagles' Long Road Out of Eden follows her at #3 with 241,000 scans. Meanwhile, the 26th addition to the Now That's What I Call Music! compilation series comes in at #4 with 191,800 sold, and at #5, with 180,000 scans, it's Mannheim Steamroller's Christmas Song. The aforementioned "High School Musical 2" soundtrack holds at the #6 position with sales of 178,000, and Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus trails in the #7 spot, having sold another 177,500 units. Country crossover artist Taylor Swift's self-titled debut climbs one spot to #8 with 138,700 sold, and Carrie Underwood's Carnival Ride falls two spots to #9 with sales of 137,500.

Rapper Birdman's 5 * Stunna was the top 200's second-highest charting debut offering, coming in at #18 with 86,000 sold. Mario's Go follows at #21 with 76,900 scans, and coming in at #25 with 68,500 copies snatched up, it's the Wu-Tang Clan's 8 Diagrams. The-Dream's Love/Hate bows at #30 with sales of 58,900, and rapper Beanie Sigel returns to the chart at #37, having sold 49,300 copies of his latest, Solution.

The Wal-Mart exclusive High School Musical: Hits Remixed enters the chart at #42 with 42,300 scans, while Gucci Mane's Back to the Traphouse debuts at #57 with 31,700 sold. The Dave Matthews Band's Live at Piedmont Park occupies the #68 slot, thanks to 27,400 scans, while Puerto Rican songstress Ednita Nazario's Real opens at #101 with 18,000 sold.

Justin Timberlake has added an Emmy to that "Box" — the singer and "Saturday Night Live" actor Andy Samberg took home the award for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for "Di-- in a Box," the pair's wildly popular song about surprise packages, on Sunday (September 9). Timberlake wasn't at the ceremony to accept the award, as he's been in Vegas for the VMAs, but Samberg told People, "We'll definitely give him a call and let him know." ...

Nas joined forces with John Mayer, Phil Vassar and the Dave Mathews Band on Thursday night to bring "A Concert for Virginia Tech" to the college's Blacksburg campus. According to The Richmond Times-Dispatch, the rapper cheekily dedicated the last song of his set, "Hate Me Now," to TV pundit Bill O'Reilly, who had previously said it was an "abomination" and "atrocity" that Nas was going to perform at the free concert. "For those who don't understand what Nas is about, like that chump Bill O'Reilly, I got a song for you," he said before breaking into the tune. More than 45,000 people reportedly attended the concert. ...

The heiress filed a lawsuit against the company on Thursday in Los Angeles, accusing Hallmark of misappropriating her image and invading her privacy by putting the card on sale earlier this year. It features Hilton's face superimposed on a cartoon body, along with the message, "First day as a waitress." ...

Led Zeppelin fans are holding their collective breath once again amid reports that a press conference pertaining to the band will take place in London on Wednesday, according to Billboard.com. The development comes shortly after "11.13.07" mysteriously appeared along with the band's commonly used symbols on LedZeppelin.com. The news outlet reported in July that the band might reassemble for a potential tribute to Atlantic Records co-founder Ahmet Ertegun, who died last year. He received a $305.50 ticket for the latter offense. Bollea's passenger, John Graziano, remains in critical condition at a Florida hospital. ... Phil Spector lawyer Linda Kenney-Baden finished her closing statement on Friday, urging jurors not to become "vigilantes" and find the music producer innocent in the murder of actress Lana Clarkson. "We don't convict people in this country because we don't like them, because we don't like their hair or their clothes," she said. "Your job is not to make good copy or good ratings. Your job is to find the truth." The case will be turned over to the jurors after a planned rebuttal by the prosecution. ...

By now, you've likely heard the acoustic cover of Rihanna's "Umbrella" by Internet phenomenon Marié Digby, whose unique style won her a contract with Hollywood Records. More than 2.3 million people have checked out the 24-year-old's unplugged take on the jam of the summer. But, according to The Wall Street Journal, the alleged viral-video discovery was actually signed to Hollywood 18 months before becoming an online phenom. The article also claims Hollywood helped devise her Internet strategy and distributed a high-quality studio recording of "Umbrella" to radio stations and iTunes as a way to build hype for Digby's upcoming major-label debut. ...

Apparently, the Magic Kingdom has hung a "Machine Head Not Welcome" sign up at the gates. According to a spokesperson for the group, Walt Disney Properties pressured Live Nation to cancel the metal band's show at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California, on Friday (which was to take place on Disneyland property) citing, according to a press release from the band's publicist, violent imagery, undesirable fans and inflammatory lyrics. In an e-mail, the group said it got less than 48 hours' notice of the scotched gig, which was to be the kickoff of their Black Tyranny tour with Arch Enemy, Throwdown and Sanctity. Live Nation rescheduled the tour kickoff for the Glass House in nearby Pomona. A Disney spokesperson could not be reached for comment.

Kanye West is planning to have children, he divulged to Blender for its October cover story. "Yes, I'm engaged. Yes, I plan to have kids," he said. After that, 'Ye quipped, "But I'm not gonna base the night that I conceive a child off of what I tell Blender magazine." In the interview, he also highlighted some recent faves — the Killers, Keane, Modest Mouse — and also admitted that, despite his unforgettable remark about President Bush two years ago, "I'm not very tuned into politics. I apologize to people who expect me to act like I work at CNN." And, of course, what would a West interview be like these days without a few choice comments about his Tuesday rival, 50 Cent? "I pulled the trigger on that date," he revealed, saying it was his idea for the rappers' albums to go head to head. "I got on the phone with Def Jam like, 'Yo, I want to do this.' ... There were people that weren't ready for that fight. And I was like, 'Man, this is what I do!' " Still, he did have some kind words to say about Fif: "Turn this up, please," he said when 50's "I Get Money" reportedly started playing on the radio during the interview. "50 is popping on this. ... I hear 50 drop a number, like, 'I spent this much,' and I'm like, 'Damn! 50 is so much richer than me!' " The MCs are slated to appear on BET's "106 & Park" on Tuesday. Tony Yayo (real name: Marvin Bernard) was in court Thursday (September 6) to hear motions in the case in which he is alleged to have roughed up the 14-year-old son of Game manager Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond in March. According to Yayo's lawyer, Scott Leemon, the judge denied his request to obtain e-mails from Rosemond's Czar Entertainment connected to the case. But in a significant development, Leemon said he revealed in court that he provided the district attorney's office with an affidavit three weeks ago from a witness who knows the 14-year-old and Yayo, witnessed the incident and said Yayo did not slap the boy. "That person has already signed the affidavit saying Yayo was not the person who slapped the boy," Leemon told MTV News. "The judge instructed the DA to send an investigator and investigate it because nothing has been done in three weeks." Yayo is due back in court October 30. A spokesperson for the DA's office did not return calls for comment at press time. ...

Last week, when "High School Musical 2" made its television debut on the Disney Channel, a staggering 17.2 million viewers tuned in, making the sequel to last year's whodathunkit hit the most-watched basic cable TV movie in broadcasting history.

But the "HSM2" madness didn't end there. The made-for-TV film's soundtrack also hit record stores last week, and, as predicted, sold like hot cakes, pulling in the second-largest first-week take of '07. Linkin Park's Minutes to Midnight still holds the title of best-performing debut of the year, having opened at #1 more than three months ago with nearly 623,000 copies snatched up during week one.

The "HSM2" soundtrack — featuring the pipes of the film's stars Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Lucas Grabeel and Monique Coleman — racked up sales of more than 615,000, which was more than enough for a #1 opener on next week's Billboard top 200. Comparatively, the soundtrack to the first "High School Musical" debuted at #143 last summer, selling just 6,500 units, but has since gone on to scan about 4.1 million.

Disney Channel-spawned LPs dominate next week's chart, according to the latest SoundScan totals. Following "HSM2" at #2 is Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus, the Disney teen sensation's latest release, which climbs two spots thanks to another 82,600 scans. Right behind Hannah is the only other new release this week — of which there are 19 — to crack the chart's top 10: Coming in at #3 with 69,800 copies sold is Live at Radio City, the latest from Dave Matthews and collaborative partner Tim Reynolds.

The rest of the top 10 is chock-full of some familiar faces. Finishing at #4 this week is the 25th edition of the ever-growing Now That's What I Call Music! compilation family with 65,800 sold, while the soundtrack to the big-screen adaptation of the Broadway musical adaptation of John Waters' 1988 film "Hairspray" comes in at #5, selling 63,000-plus. Last week's #1 falls to #6 on next week's chart, as UGK's Underground Kingz suffered the second-week sales slump. Interest in the record waned 62 percent, resulting in sales of 60,300. Fergie's The Dutchess rises one chart position to #7 with 53,000 scans, while the Jonas Brothers' self-titled album claims the #8 slot with 41,100 sold.

Meanwhile, rapper Plies' inaugural set, The Real Testament, dives seven spots to #9 with sales reported at 38,600, and rounding things out at #10 is Common's new one, Finding Forever, which sold just 15 fewer copies.

Last year, AFI's Decemberunderground debuted at #1 on the Billboard albums sales chart with 182,000 copies flying off store shelves. Half of that band — frontman Davey Havok and guitarist Jade Puget — returns to next week's chart at #18, with the electronica-tinged side project Blaqk Audio. The duo's debut disc, CexCells, sold more than 29,000 copies, making it the week's third-highest-charting newcomer.

But 16 other artists debut on next week's chart, including country artist Luke Bryan, whose I'll Stay Me bows at #24 with 25,000 scans. Dean Martin's Forever Cool sold 17,200 copies, which puts it at #39 on the chart, followed immediately at #40 by Mae's Singularity, which sold just five fewer copies.

Coming in at #45 with yet another posthumous outing is Tupac, whose Nu-Mixx Klazzics, Vol. 2 (Evolution: Duets and Remixes) sold nearly 15,000 copies during its first week of commercial release. Below 'Pac at #49 is rapper WC's Guilty by Affiliation, which sold more than 14,100 units. 12 Stones' Anthem for the Underdog follows at #53, selling 12,800 copies, while Matt Nathanson's Some Mad Hope claims the chart's #60 slot with 11,300 scans.

Eisley's Combinations bows at #70, having sold more than 9,300 copies, while country act Halfway to Hazard's self-titled disc claims the #87 slot with 8,000 discs scanned. Lori McKenna's Unglamorous sold more than 6,300 units, which earns the album the chart's #109 position, while DJ Paul van Dyk's In Between follows at #115, with 6,000 copies sold.

Chingo Bling's They Can't Deport Us All opens on next week's chart at #123, thanks to sales of more than 5,700, while As Cities Burn's latest, Come Now Sleep, finishes at #135, selling 5,400 and change. Drop Dead Gorgeous' Worse Than a Fairy Tale debuts at #139 with 5,300 copies sold, and finally, coming in at #174 with sales of 4,300, is the latest from rappers Ali & Gipp, Kinfolk.

Lily Allen has been forced to postpone six West Coast tour dates, as well as her previously announced appearance at this year's MTV Video Music Awards on September 9, as her work visa has been revoked. Allen's publicist said in a press release that authorities revoked the visa earlier this month when Allen was entering the U.S., and that because the reinstatement process is taking longer than expected, she won't be able to launch her tour September 6 in San Diego. There's no word yet on when the concerts — which were set to take place in San Francisco, Las Vegas and Seattle, among other cities — might be rescheduled. "I am so disappointed that I won't be able to come to the States at this time," Allen said in the press release. "I was really looking forward to playing these shows and being part of the Video Music Awards. I want my fans to know that I'll be back as soon as I possibly can." ...

After an investigation, what authorities originally thought was a sexual assault on a 15-year-old girl by a male college student during Tuesday's Dave Matthews Band concert at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, New York, has taken a bizarre turn. According to Albany TV station WNYT, the unidentified girl actually had consensual sexual contact with a 15-year-old male in the woods at the venue, and authorities said she was drunk at the time on alcohol provided by the mother of one of her friends. The woman, Lisa Vedder, reportedly bought a bottle of vodka on the way to the venue and provided it, in sports bottles, to her daughter and several friends. Vedder, 42, has been charged with three counts of unlawfully dealing with a child and could face additional charges of endangering the welfare of a child for providing the alcohol to her daughter. ...

Police are investigating the "suspicious" deaths of two men who attended Thursday's Ozzfest stop at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey. Guarino was resuscitated on site and then transported to nearby Bayshore Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 11:25 p.m. Police, who searched his vehicle and found small amounts of cocaine and marijuana, have received information that Guarino ingested both drugs, as well as alcohol, during the concert. An autopsy is being performed, but it could be up to six weeks before toxicology results come in. Police believe that another concertgoer — Patrick Norris, 24, of Coram, New York — who died at the same hospital at 10 p.m., had also ingested the same combination of drugs and suffered cardiac arrest. Without the jury present, Fidler said he would give an instruction to jurors at the end of the case to make sure they knew what happened.
